Santiago never looked better. It was St Valentine’s day. The strong winter sunlight was low, making very strong contrasts between light and dark, sunlight and shadow. This made for a very pleasing excursion around the city, one I have done many times before.
The place is unique obviously. What makes it more so is that, within yards of the centre, you can escape the tourists, find a green corner with a stream and really reflect what the Camino is all about.
